Animal lovers can attend a “fun-filled” open day at a pet hospital next month.

Hendon PDSA PetAid Hospital in Church End will throw open its doors on Saturday July 12, from 12pm to 4pm, offering behind-the-scenes tours and activities.

Claire Newton, manager at Hendon PDSA, said: "If you’ve ever wondered what goes on at one of the UK’s busiest pet hospitals, make sure you join us.

“There will be plenty of fun for all the family, with behind-the-scenes tours of the operating theatre and x-ray suite, plus free pet health checks for dogs and fun activities for children.

“It gives people the chance to see how a PDSA pet hospital is run and learn more about the charity’s vital work helping sick and injured pets. There will also be plenty of entertainment so it promises to be a great day out for everyone."

The event has been organised in conjunction with community fun day, Hendon does Help for Heroes, organised by The Chequers pub which is situated across the road from PDSA.
