Children's summer reading challenge
Bookworms can sign up to an annual reading challenge.
The theme for this year's Summer Reading Challenge is Mythical Maze, which is being funded by Arts Council England
Participants will receive a Mythical Maze activity folder to send them on a journey of discovery in which they will get a chance to meet a range of fantastical creatures from the world of legend and mythology.
The challenge will run from July 12 until September 9 and is open to children aged four to 12.
Prizes will be awarded according to the number of books children read, including stickers, wristbands, certificates and medals.
Registration for the summer reading challenge is free at Barnet's libraries.
