There are “no winners” from Unison’s strike action next week, according to a care organisation.

Unison members at Your Choice Barnet will take industrial action next Monday over a pay dispute.

Tracey Lees, CEO of Your Choice Barnet, said: “We are very disappointed with the proposed strike action being taken by Unison Members at Your Choice schemes next week.

“There are no winners in this scenario. YCB staff will lose pay and YCB will lose income.

“We had hoped to meet with Unison and ACAS on Friday 5 September prior to the strike, but unfortunately Unison were unavailable.”

The strike will take place at Flower Lane day centre in Flower Lane, Mill Hill and Rosa Morrison day centre in Gloucester Road, New Barnet.

East Finchley Councillor Alison Moore, leader of the Barnet Labour group, said: “We support Your Choice Barnet care workers in their bid to get meaningful three way talks between staff, Your Choice Barnet and Barnet Council so that the quality of vital care and support services to vulnerable adults can be discussed."
