A 100-year-old says her love for Jesus helped her reach the milestone birthday.
Born again Christian Rebecca Kaufman, of Derby House, Parson Street, Hendon, celebrated her birthday with a party organised by Barnet Homes.
It was attended by Mayor of Barnet Councillor Hugh Rayner, and members of her church, Hendon Baptist, in Finchley Lane.
Ms Kaufman was born into a Jewish family in the East End in 1914, but became a born-again Christian in 1956.
She spent much of her life working in a clothes shop.
She said: “My faith and becoming a Christian have kept me alive. I worshipped Jesus Christ, and I was saved.”
