Pupils will celebrate the anniversary of the birth of global radio.
Mill Hill School, in The Ridgeway, Mill Hill, will host a radio station for a week from Saturday to mark the event.
On October 18, 1924, two-way communication was made between Cecil Goyder, operating from Mill Hill School, and Frank Bell, a sheep farmer in South Island, New Zealand.
A radio station will also be set up in South Island, New Zealand, which will contact the school.
Pupils will get the chance to speak on air, as well as learning about the history of radio and taking part in a range of activities, supported by the Radio Society of Great Britain.
Headmaster Dominic Luckett said: βIt was exciting for our school to be part of this historic moment and we are looking forward to marking this special anniversary with the support of the Radio Society of Great Britain.β
