A bricklayer’s colleagues came together to raise more than £1,700 for charity.
Staff at Fairview New Homes’ Pulse development in Colindale collected the money to show their support for three-year-old Poppy Chappell, who received a liver transplant earlier this year.
Together with the company’s sales and marketing department, and contractors Contour Riffing, they raised £1,755 for the Alpha-1 UK Support Group.
Since the transplant Poppy, from Cheshunt, has been able to enjoy a normal life, and started at nursery school in September.
Her father Danny Chappell, 31, said: “It’s nice to know that everyone was thinking of us and the money raised really means a lot to us, as it’s for an important cause.”
Staff also treated Poppy to a shopping spree in a toy shop.
