I am writing in response to a story published on February 5 (‘Growing population’, Times Series).
With the shortage of affordable homes why do they do builds for overseas markets and buy-to-let investors? These properties should be made affordable for our own people to buy their first home.
No one should be allowed to make money this way —it is at the expense of those who need a home of their own.
I am fed up of hearing of luxury building — let’s see a bit more affordable building for the working class people. They often carry out essential work and need to be able to afford to live in the area.
