A man is to stand trial charged with the murder of a 15-year-old boy.

Lincoln Olaribigbe, 23, of Leamington House, Stonegrove, Edgware, appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court last Friday charged with the murder of Joel Adesina.

He is due to stand trial at the Old Bailey on September 28 with George Phillips, 20, of Hoxton, who is also accused of the murder.

On December 5 2014, at approximately 11.05pm, the Metropolitan Police was called by London Ambulance Service to Bethnal Green Road, east London, after a teenager was stabbed.

Officers found a 15-year-old boy suffering from serious stab injuries to the abdomen.

He was taken by ambulance to an east London hospital, where he died at 2.12am on December 6.

He was formally identified as Joel Adesina, 15, of Dagenham.

A post-mortem gave cause of death as stab wound to the liver.
