A shopping centre will hold a range of events to help people live healthier lifestyles.
The Broadwalk Centre, in Station Road, Edgware, will unveil a schedule of events and activities throughout the year as part of its new cancer prevention health campaign.
It has teamed up with Barnet Public Health Service, children’s lifestyle service Alive and Kicking, Silver Star Diabetes and sports organisation GLL Barnet.
The programme will coincide with National Healthy Eating Week and on June 6, people can pick up a free lunch outside Sainsbury’s in the car park between 11am and 3pm.
During Diabetes Week, Silver Star will test shoppers’ blood sugar levels to raise awareness about the condition.
A nurse will be on hand to answer questions at each event.
