A mental health charity has launched a new campaign to encourage people to “Think Ahead” and stamp out stigma.

Jami, which is based in Gould Way, Edgware and Golders Green Road, Golders Green, is trying to stimulate debate and challenge people to think differently about mental health.

The Think Ahead campaign is asking people to give support, get support or get involved and will be delivered using a range of postcard style images.

People can chose to volunteer for Jami as a befriender or a hospital visitor.

They are also looking for people to become Jami headliners - the voice of Think Ahead - and to challenge, share and talk about mental health leaders.

The charity is also looking for money donations.

Jami chief executive Laurie Rackind said: “This is an exciting new stage in Jami’s development. Now is the right time to engage the community in conversations about mental health and we all look forward to the day when mental health awareness and wellbeing is considered as important as physical health.

“We hope that Think Ahead will go some way towards redressing the balance.”
