THE team at a property company are thrilled to be highly commended for their hard work on a housing project.

Signia based in Oxford street, Wealdstone, was one of eight highly commended projects at the Local Authority Building Control Building Excellence Awards last month.

The Cloisters, the company’s Stanmore hill development, was commended in the Best Small New Housing Development Category.

Monica Dabasia, who has been head of legal at Signia for over a year, said: “We are really pleased to be highly commended. This one of our first awards for the Cloisters, but we have won a few in the past couple of weeks, it’s like awards season.

“For companies like us, to be highly commended in the category and to sit next to the other nominees, it really is a great honour.

“It just shows the hard work from the team, the people, and the architect’s work has paid off and it is fantastic.”

The Cloisters are five-bedroom family properties set over two or three floor, with an open plan kitchen and family space with a study and media room in each one.

Founder of Signia Living, Sam Patel, said The Cloisters is a “jewel in the crown of north-west London.”

Mr Patel said: “To find homes in London that feature such a healthy mix of natural splendour and cosmopolitan living is unusual; The Cloisters has both in abundance and families who come and live here will create memories to last a lifetime.

“To be highly commended in what was a fiercely contested category in these awards is recognition of all the hard work which has gone into making The Cloisters unique.”
