Drivers in Hendon have been caught exploiting the blue badge scheme.
Parking wardens in the district seized 11 blue badges in a one-day sweep.
The operation, involving police and CAFT officers, saw the team carrying out spot checks in Hendon on February 23.
Of the 11 badges found, seven were being used by motorists to avoid parking restrictions, three were reported lost or stolen and one was entirely counterfeit.
“Anyone caught using one of these badges illegally can expect to be caught and ultimately face prosecution,” said Barnet Council leader Richard Cornelius.
“These blue badges are intended for people in genuine need and it’s a criminal offence for them to be misused.”
The officers spot-checked 78 cars during the operation, which was one of their regular operations taking place throughout the borough.
