Two men, one of whom hid drugs down his pants, have been found guilty of possession with intent to supply.
Anthony Kalogirou, 37, of Betstyle Road, Arnos Grove, and Anand Sinha, 36, of Pages Lane, Fortis Green, were found guilty at Harrow Crown Court of possession with intent to supply cannabis after being searched in their car on Brent Street.
The court heard that on being searched, Kalogirou was found with a large amount of cash, while Sinha was found with a large amount of cannabis hidden in his pants.
Police said that each man claimed different reasons for holding this amount of cash and drugs, with Kalogirou claiming the money was to collect items from a pawn brokers and Sinha claiming the drugs were for his personal use, but the Barnet Tasking Team investigated mobile phone downloads which linked them to supplying cannabis.
Both men received a 10 month sentence suspended for 12 months.
