A New Barnet supermarket has announced its new charity partner for the coming year.
Sainsbury's in East Barnet Road, New Barnet, will be supporting The Animal Care Trust after giving shoppers the chance to vote for their desired charity.
Over the last year colleagues and customers raised £1,471.60 for Homeless Action in Barnet (HAB) through tombolas, bake sales and bucket collections.
Store manager Jon O’Sullivan said: "Our customers and colleagues worked really hard to help raise vital funds for the charity and we’re really proud with everything we’ve achieved."
The voting and charity support comes as part of Sainsbury's local charity scheme, which is entering its ninth year and has raised more than £13 million since 2009.
