Restaurants, cafes and businesses joined together to fundraise for a children's charity.
As part of Totteridge Awareness Week from June 26 - July 2, businesses raised £700 for the NSPCC by convincing customers to donate £2 on top of their bills.
The week was launched by a special brunch at The Waiting Room, Totteridge Lane, which raised £600 alone before other businesses got involved for the rest of the week.
Haylee Smith, NSPCC Community Fundraising Manager for north London, said: “With the support of local businesses and steadfast NSPCC supporters in Totteridge, the fantastic amount raised will help us to continue to teach children in Barnet and beyond how to keep safe from all forms of abuse and who they can turn to for support.
Money raised will go towards NSPCC services such as Speak Out. Stay Safe, which uses school assemblies to educate children about abuse and where they can get help.
These assemblies was delivered to 6,413 children in 23 schools in the borough of Barnet in 2016/17.
