Young pupils were the guests of honour as they switched on a university's Christmas lights.
Pupils from St Mary's and St John's Church of England School in Hendon got a taste of university life when they turned on the lights at Middlesex University's quad, with help from some robots from the robotics and mechatronics department.
The young people also sang Christmas carols and shared mince pies with students and members of the community.
