A Barnet tube station is next in line to go step free.
Burnt Oak tube station, on the Northern Line, will be one of 13 stations to go step free as part of a push from the Mayor of London to improve accessibility on the London Underground.
The tube station, which sees an estimated 4.52m journeys per year, will have part of a £200m funding pot invested to ensure lift access to the platform by 2022, which will mean 40 per cent of the network will be step free by this year.
The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, said: "It’s vital that we make our transport network accessible to all Londoners and visitors. That’s why I vowed to significantly improve the services offered at our stations for those with disabilities, parents with pushchairs or anyone who struggles with their mobility.
"These improvements are going to make a big difference in helping Londoners move around our city and show the real progress we are making to improve accessibility right across the capital."
Accessibility work is also set to begin at Mill Hill East and Cockfosters this year to make them step-free by the end of 2018.
