Three people from north London are among five who have been charged as part of an investigation into the sale of counterfeit and unlicensed medicines.

David Cohen, 37, of Ashbourne Avenue, Golders Green, is charged with making a false statement to obtain benefits, failing to notify of a change of circumstances affecting a benefit and providing false information to the Charity Commission, and one count of acquiring criminal property and being concerned in the acquisition of criminal property.

Edward Cohen, 65, of Paget Road in Stamford Hill, is charged with providing false statements to obtain benefits, providing false information to the Charity Commission and acquiring criminal property, as well as two counts of being concerned in the acquisition of criminal property.

Both these men will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on February 21.

Jacob Gross, 44, and Mindy Gross, 42, both of Oakfields Road, Golders Green, have been charged with acquiring criminal property, along with Maurice Gross, 37, of Planton au Moretuslei, Antwerp, Belgium, and Mr J Gross has also been charged with being concerned in the acquisition of criminal property.

Two men, aged 37 and 44, and a woman aged 42, have also been charged to appear at the same court on the same date via postal requisition.
