A man has died after being stabbed in his flat, less than a mile from a police station.
A 26-year-old man was found with stab wounds at his flat in Zenith Close, Colindale, yesterday, Sunday April 15.
He was taken to a central London hospital by ambulance where he later died from his wounds.
The incident occurred only a 16 minute walk from Colindale Police Station.
The Met Police has launched a murder probe.
A police spokesperson said: "Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance.
"A 26-year-old male was found at the scene suffering stab injuries.
"He was taken to a central London hospital by London Ambulance Service, where he was pronounced dead later that evening.
"Enquiries are underway to trace next of kin. We await formal identification. A post-mortem will be scheduled in due course.
"A crime scene is in place and enquiries continue."
A 34-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the stabbing.
The woman was taken to a north London police station where she remains in custody at this time.
