Firefighters are battling a field fire in a nearby garden.
Emergency services were called to Tom’s Lane, in Kings Langley, after a blaze broke out in a field and spread to a nearby garden.
Tom’s Lane and Hilltop Road are both currently closed and people are being warned to avoid the area.
Kings Langley Fire Station said 15 pumps were used to extinguish the flames on Twitter.
A total of six fire engines are at the scene, from St Albans, Watford and Welwyn Garden City.
The cause is currently unknown, but a spokesperson from Hertfordshire County Council said the fire is likely to be accidental.
