Carers got muddy and crawled through a treacherous obstacle course - all in the name of charity.

Bluebird Care in Waltham Forest raised £725 for the Margaret Centre at Whipps Cross Hospital and Cancer Research UK.

They took part in the Pretty Muddy Run at the Olympic Park in Stratford, a 5km trail.

The day saw them climb, crawl and run through obstacles, while battling through mud.

The Margaret Centre was given £200 as it is the chosen charity for Bluebird Care Waltham Forest. This amazing organisation provides vital provision to patients and families at a very difficult time in their lives, and are greatly deserving of all the donations they received from Bluebird Care.”

Wendy Edis, director of Bluebird Care Waltham Forest, said: “The team at Bluebird Care Waltham Forest love to raise money for charity - it is always so rewarding and very enjoyable.

"All who took part had a fantastic and fun time and the Pretty Muddy Run was a great opportunity for everyone to work together and have a laugh at the same time. Thank you to everyone in the team for always working so hard and going the extra mile for all the Bluebird Care Waltham Forest customers and those in the community."
