A high street retailer says it will shut down a branch next year.
This morning, 60 shop staff at Marks & Spencer in Edgware Broadwalk were told that they will be 'relocating' to new stores elsewhere.
Coming amidst a company wide scale down, M&S have not given a reason for the store’s closure.
Instead it says it takes several factors into account such as nearby shops, sales, performance and profits.
Ryan Kerr, M&S head of region for north London, said: “The decision to close M&S Edgware Broadwalk was incredibly difficult.
“Our dedicated colleagues will all relocate to nearby stores where we believe we can offer a more inspirational shopping experience for our customers, this includes our newly opened Colindale Foodhall.”
