A gang of drug dealers who tried to throw crack cocaine and heroin over a balcony during a police raid have been jailed for more than 25 years between them.

The five men were arrested in Barnet during a police raid in March and were sentenced at Harrow Crown Court last Friday.

• Shaban Hotak, 23, of Roman Road, East Ham, was sentenced to five years and six months.

• Ahmad Azimi, 22, of Islip Close, Maidstone, was sentenced to five years and six months.

• Salman Ahmed, 25, of Tudor Court, North Wembley, was sentenced to five years and six months.

• Hussein Mohamed Ismail, 21, of Brenthurst Road, Willesden, pleaded guilty and was sentenced to four years.

• Samim Islami, 21, of Merritt Gardens, Chessington, pleaded guilty and was sentenced to five years.

They were each convicted of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, crack cocaine and heroin, and a class B drug, cannabis.

When police officers forced their way inside the flat during last year’s raid, another officer, who was outside with a camera, filmed Salman Ahmed

throwing a bag over the balcony.

This bag contained large amounts of crack cocaine and heroin.

Another man, Ahmad Azimi, was also filmed throwing several wraps of crack cocaine and heroin over the balcony as police raided the property.

Several loose wraps of crack cocaine and heroin along with mobile phones were found inside the property’s kitchen.

Crack cocaine and heroin was also found in the middle of the living room.

Electronic scales, a razor blade and a zip lock bag of herbal cannabis was found on a coffee table and a large vacuum sealed bag of cannabis was

found in a cupboard.

All five men were arrested at the address and taken into police custody.
