A man was rushed to hospital last night after he was allegedly stabbed in the chest in High Wycombe.

The man in his 20s was said to have been involved in an "altercation" with two men in Juniper Drive between 6.20pm and 6.30pm on December 12.

He was taken to hospital with chest injuries and he is in a serious but stable condition.

A 26-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and are currently in police custody.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Alex Trevivian, of High Wycombe Force CID, said: “I would like to take this opportunity to reassure the public that this incident is not being linked to any other similar assaults in the area and does not appear to be random.

“Two people have been arrested in connection with this incident.

“An investigation is ongoing and I would like anyone with information to contact police.”
