Passengers face disruption on the Thameslink line after train hit an obstruction on the line.
Some services are delayed or cancelled between London and north of St Albans City after a train struck an obstruction earlier this afternoon.
Thameslink has said all lines are due to reopen shortly but National Rail says commuters can expect disruption until 5.30pm.
It means journeys including via Radlett, Elstree & Borehamwood, Mill Hill, and Hendon, are subject to delay.
Tickets are being accepted on Southern, Thameslink, and Great Northern services via reasonable routes, on the underground, buses between central London and services south of London.
