A charitable shopping event will be held to raise money for a breast cancer charity.

The South Herts Breast Cancer Group, made up of ten mums, have already hosted two gift fairs but have set their sights on an event much grander.

People are invited down to the Radlett Centre, Radlett, on Friday May 3.

A gift fair in November 2017 raised £6,000 for Breast Cancer Now.

Now Breast Cancer Now is merging with Breast Cancer Care which will see it become Europe’s biggest breast cancer charity.

There will be more than 25 stalls at the Radlett Centre selling a variety of shopping gifts and items, including clothing, jewellery, homeware, and plants.

Simone Leibovitch, committee leader at South Herts Breast Cancer Group, said: “We are really excited this year because Breast Cancer Now are merging with Breast Cancer Care. What is great about this is that the money we raise will now not only go into research but will also be used for the care and support for people and families that are affected by the disease. We all have the goal that by 2050 anyone who gets breast cancer will live and live well.

“The upcoming shopping event has been very kindly sponsored by Beaver Travel in Radlett and thanks to their generosity it means that every penny raised on the day will go straight to the charity. There really is something for everyone. Plus each shopper can come to our cafe and get a free tea or coffee in between their shopping.”
