An Easter Eggstravaganza is being held at a shopping centre.

The Mall in Walthamstow is celebrating Easter with two weeks of children's activities.

The Easter Eggstravaganza event will include traditionally-themed arts and crafts during the first week from Monday, April 8, to Friday, April 12.

The Mall's second week of Easter activities will be superhero-themed to celebrate the release of the new Avengers: Endgame film at the end of the month.

As part of the superhero-themed week, participants will be able to transform themselves into superheroes by donning masks and accessories, as well as creating cardboard versions of their favourite superheroes.

The Mall has also created its own supervillain hunt for the second week of the Easter holidays which will involve brightly-coloured vinyls of the characters being dotted around the shopping centre.

The hunters will then take a photo of each character in order to claim a prize at the Ask Me Point - the villains will be moved around the centre and may not be in the same place twice to make it more of a challenge.

The Mall’s marketing manager Richard Jones said: "We are always keen to bring children in to the centre during holiday times and with two weeks of specially-themed activities, there’s no excuse for boredom.

"We consider ourselves to be a big part of the local community and enjoy creating fun activities for the whole family to enjoy."

Activities will be taking place at free children's club The Mall Monster's Club from 11am to 4pm each weekday from Monday, April 8 to Friday, April 19.

The Mall Monster's Club members take part in regular activities such as face painting, storytelling and competitions throughout the year as well as receiving a special treat on their birthday.
