Roadworks in Watford caused long tailbacks for drivers this morning.
Ongoing work in Radlett Road saw queues stretch back to the M1 during the morning rush hour.
There have been lights in the area for a couple of weeks but UK Power Networks say there was an issue with the traffic lights this morning which caused the disruption.
The good news is UKPN says work to install a new electricity connection for a customer is due to be completed by Thursday.

The Berrygrove roundabout at j5 for the M1 was gridlocked leading to queues off the M1 both northbound and southbound, while the A4008, Bushey Mill Lane, Radlett Road, and Orphanage Road also struggled.

A spokeswoman for UKPN said: "We are sorry for any traffic disruption on Radlett Road, Watford, after a set of traffic lights were tampered with overnight.
"Work installing is due to finish on this road by Thursday. The traffic lights are being manually operated between 7am and 7pm to help with traffic flow."
