On May 16, Kebbell staff were provided with a lunch as a thank you for the kind donations made through their Give as you earn scheme.

Kebbell's head office staff raised £1,710 for Padstones in the last 12 months. The donations made, will be put towards new furnishings for the properties.

Padstones, delivered by the charity Connection Support and funded by Buckinghamshire County Council and South Bucks District Council, prevents young people between the ages of 16 and 25 from becoming homeless. They provide a breadth of accommodation alongside continued support. Padstones has two residential projects, one each in Burnham and High Wycombe.

Whilst providing accommodation, Padstones also helps young people develop their personal skills. Reducing the risk of future homelessness.

Since the partnership between Padstones and Kebbell began in 2006, Kebbell has raised almost £49,000 for Padstones and hopes to maintain support for the future.

On behalf of Kebbell staff Andrea Fawell said: "We build and sell houses, often with beautiful interiors, to those fortunate enough to be able to buy. But we are conscious that this is not available to everyone, and by giving to Padstones we hope we're helping to redress that balance in some small way by giving them a better start and, importantly, supporting Padstones in developing their skills for the future"

Liz Bubbear, Operations and Development Manager for Connection Support, Bucks said: "Thank you to all the Kebbell staff who support us through their GAYE scheme. These kinds of regular donations, made through payroll giving, are vital to us. We don't want to turn anyone away and knowing we have money to support that activity is vital. The money contributed helps us maintain the property at Padstones for the young people to take pride in and somewhere they can call home. They often even get involved in re-decorating."

Young people can access free advice and information at Connection Support's weekly Burnham drop-in on Thursdays, 3-5pm at Padstones offices at Reedham House, 2 Brightwell Road. For more information please visit connectionsupport.org.uk/padstones
