To mark Global Wellness Day, the people of Borehamwood are being asked to put on their walking boots for an hour.
Tomorrow (Wednesday) the community are invited to Gerrard House in Theobald Street, near Borehamwood Shopping Park, at 8.45am or 3.45pm.
The walks will be led by Paul Gerrard, Global Wellness Day Ambassador for the UK
Launched in 2012 in Turkey, Global Wellness Day is fundamentally about taking small steps to improve our physical and mental health and wellbeing.
It is celebrated on the second Saturday of June every year.
Mr Gerrard said: "I firmly believe that Global Wellness Day has the potential to become that precious first day in life, when we learn to treat ourselves a little bit better and to become a little bit better for it."
Children and pets are welcome for the walk which will take in part of Borehamwood's scenery, venturing towards Elstree, along routes including Allum Lane and Parkfields.
