Residents are being encouraged to get behind their cameras this summer to help celebrate 40 years of CommUNITY Barnet.
The charity, which works to support and expand the community and voluntary sector in Barnet, is hosting the competition to find out what Barnet looks like to you.
There are two categories; culture & communities and buildings & environment, which will be open to residents, students and employees in Barnet, with £150 on offer for first place, £50 for second and £25 for third.
CommUNITY Barnet CEO Julie Pal said the competition was the perfect way to celebrate the organisation’s 40th birthday.
She said: “Since 1979 we have supported and developed the capacity of local charities, organisations and faith groups to ensure Barnet has a thriving and sustainable civic sector,” Ms Pal said.
“Here at CommUNITY Barnet we could think of no better way to commemorate our 40th birthday than by getting the very community we serve involved with the celebrations.
“We want to see what people love about this borough and what makes them as proud as we are to live, work and thrive in Barnet.”
The competition is open for entries from Monday June 3 and will close on Monday September 30, with the winners to be unveiled at CommUNITY Barnet’s 2019 AGM in November.
