A series of workshops for people living with physical and learning disabilities has received "terrific support".
The Regency Training Foundation (RTF), based in Aycliffe Road, Borehamwood, has run a six week project including life skills training in confidence building, communication skills, stress busting, anger management, and healthier lives.
Director of the RTF, Patricia O'Malley says the sessions are designed to improve health and wellbeing, reduce anxiety, and reduce social isolation.
The project has gained the support of a number of local councillors including Cllr Susan Brown, Cllr Morris Bright, Cllr John Graham, Cllr Caroline Clapper, Cllr Alan Plancey, and Cllr Seamus Quilty, who all dipped into their locality budgets.
Ms O'Malley said: "Without their kind contributions, this much needed and well received project would not have taken place so I'd like to thank them for their terrific support.
"Our project was a great success. We all thoroughly enjoyed working with the staff at Borehamwood multi-services day centre and their service users.
"These schemes can go along way to making lasting changes to real people's lives."
