A woman who was arrested after two RAF aircraft were called to escort a plane back to Stansted Airport has been bailed.
The 25-year-old, from Maidenhead in Berkshire, was arrested on suspicion of common assault, criminal damage and endangering an aircraft on Saturday, June 22.
She has been released on bail until Tuesday, July 30, following the incident on board the Titan Airways A321 Jet2 plane.
Several people from Epping Forest took to social media saying the sonic boom from military aircraft caused homes to shake, leaving many fearing an explosion had occurred.
Essex Police sent out tweet saying they had received 202 phone calls from across the county in one hour.
The plane was en route to Dalaman in Turkey when it was redirected back to Stansted, causing minor delays for other flights, an airline spokeswoman said.
