Scorching temperatures are expected as a European heatwave hits the area this weekend.
The Met Office predicts highs of more than 30C on Saturday, in a week in which France has roasted in temperatures above 40C.
The temperature is expected to reach 31C in Hertfordshire and Essex, whilst across London it is expected to go one higher.
Ahead of the sweltering start to the weekend, police have issued a warning to ensure the public take care.
They encourage people to keep a bottle of water at hand and to stay hydrated.
Police are also urging people not to leave their pets in cars under any circumstance – as this could prove “deadly” for dogs.
However, temperatures are set to drop to as low as 22C on Sunday – and next week could drop below 20C.
But as far as Saturday in concerned, we would love to see what you get up to throughout the day.
Send in your photos, stating where you took them, to james.cowen@newsquest.co.uk
