A contestant from ITV2 show Love Island who owns a clothing boutique shop was voted off during last night’s episode.

Francesca Allen, 23, is the owner of clothing boutique, Bonnie & Clyde, on High Road, Loughton, appeared on the reality television show for 12 days.

The store is based less than ten doors down from brunch bar Skillet founded by late Love Islander, Mike Thalassitis, who died in March 2019.

The brunette left the villa with fellow islander Michael Griffiths, from Liverpool, after a public vote put the three couples with the lowest votes in danger.

Speaking about her exit on Love Island’s Aftersun chat show, Miss Allen said that she wasn't "disappointed" to be eliminated following the surprise vote off.

"I wasn't surprised at all," she said. "I didn't find love and that's the purpose of the show.

"I'm glad I went as Michael was ready to go and it gives everyone else an opportunity to grow as a couple, so I'm not disappointed."

The 23-year-old episode debut aired on July 9 where she was shown entering with new fellow contestant, Chris Taylor, 28, a business development manager from Leicester.

The fashion entrepreneur was the third person to hail from Essex to appear in the fifth series of Love Island, following 26-year-old Elma Pazar and 22-year-old George Rains.

Speaking to Christine Lampard and Dan Wootton on about her experience on Lorraine today, Miss Allen said: “At first I found it quite hard to settle in and to just to be myself I’m not great in big group situations everyone has got such big characters, so it took me few minutes to settle in.”

But once everyone got to know me, I felt a lot better and comfortable, I took things at my own pace.”

The 23-year-old had her eyes on contestants Anton Danyluk from Scotland and professional dancer Curtis Pritchard, from Shropshire but unfortunately left unlucky in love.

Love Island’s latest episode will air tonight, 9pm, on ITV2.
