Charities in Barnet have launched a major fundraiser that will go ahead in North Finchley.

Homeless Action Barnet and Together in Barnet revealed the campaign for the Barnet Big Sleep Out, which will take place on 14th September this year.

The ‘Sleep Out’ aims to raise £50,000 to support hundreds of people who are homeless in Barnet and deliver a full year night shelter service.

John Bier, chairman of Homeless Action Barnet, said: “As chair this is a fantastic community effort to support the two charities.

“And thank you to all the people supporting us. The funds will go to supporting services to help homeless people move on in their lives.”

Supporters of both charities, including the Mayor, Councillor Caroline Stock, former mayor Brian Salinger and comedian Felicity Ward, gathered to launch the campaign for Barnet Big Sleep Out.
