A seven-a-side football tournament and family funday will take place in Borehamwood this month.
The event, held at Meadow Park on Saturday August 24, has been organised by the Josh Hanson Trust.
Josh Hanson, from Kingsbury, was killed after being attacked with a knife outside a bar in Eastcote in 2015.
Since his death, his mother Tracey Hanson has been campaigning to raise awareness of knife crime, particularly within Hertsmere.
Earlier this year, the Josh Hanson Trust worked with Hertsmere Borough Council and Hertfordshire Constabulary, for an event at Hertswood Academy, where 200 pupils were given an insight into the dangers and consequences of knife crime.
Alongside the football tournament, which has some celebrity ex-footballers lined up, the funday at Meadow Park will include live music, a raffle, an auction, food stalls, face painting, a graffiti art workshop, a penalty shootout, and a tombola, as well as opportunities to learn about the effect of knife crime and ways to tackle it.
It will take place on August 24 from midday until 9pm.
