A driver has died after crashing into a tree last night.

Police say they were called to reports of a collision at 9.15pm on Monday, November 4 in Sarratt Road, near Croxley Green.

A black Honda Civic left the road and crashed into a tree, killing the driver.

No other vehicles were involved.

The road was shut overnight to allow an investigation to take place. A ‘police slow’ sign has been put up in Sarratt Road near York House School.

Police are appealing for any witnesses.

Sergeant Simon Cooper of the Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the driver at this sad time.

“We are investigating the cause of what happened and would like to hear from anyone who saw the collision or may have seen the vehicle prior to the incident.

“If you were in the area around 9pm last night and have a dash cam please review the footage and send in anything of relevance.”
