A Christmas-themed charity fun-run where participants can dress up as Santa has been announced.

St Clare Hospice in Hastingwood will be hosting their sixth annual Debden 5k Santa Run next month ahead of the festive holidays.

Since it began in 2014 the run has raised more than £40,000 for St Clare Hospice.

Those who want to ‘paint the town red’ are asked to meet outside Geraldine’s Hair Fashions on The Broadway on Sunday, December 8, 12pm.

A statement from St Clare Hospice said: “With the race taking place at 12.30pm, this annual yuletide fundraiser promises to be a ho, ho, whole lot of fun – with spectators welcome to view this sight to behold.”

Entry is £12 for adults and £5 for children and includes a Santa suit for use on the day. Enter as a team of six for £60.
