Schoolchildren donned odd-socks as an expression of individuality to campaign against bullying.

On November 12, Highams Park school students and staff came together to celebrate #oddsocksday as part of national anti-bullying week 2019.

The idea behind the concept was to celebrate uniqueness; everybody is important regardless of what they look like.

This event follows the school’s successful #HelloYellow mental health day which was held in October and is part of a series of initiatives aimed at improving the well-being of students and staff within the school.

Highams Park principal Philip Grundy said: “It was great to see students and staff collectively get behind such an important cause. We at Highams Park are determined to work together to improve the wellbeing of all students.

“Events like these help to reinforce our whole school values of respect, responsibility and resilience. I would like to personally thank everyone who supported the campaign.”
