Hundreds of people gathered in Borehamwood town centre at the weekend for the town's Christmas lights switch on.
Holby City actor Bob Barrett, who plays Dr Sacha Levy on the BBC 1 show, was given the honour of lighting up the Christmas tree, after an afternoon of entertainment in Shenley Road.

The festive cheer came to Borehamwood on the first day of December and there was even more reason to be cheerful with plenty of free entertainment.
There was an ice rink, Santa's Grotto, and rides for children to enjoy, alongside festive treats.
All Saints Church hosted a carol concern performed by primary schoolchildren from Meryfield, St Teresa's and Monksmead.
Outside the church, music was provided by Borehamwood Brass band, Borehamwood Rock Choir, and singer James Stowell, who is from the town.
