Everyone seems to be getting into the Christmas spirit with an early Christmas party.

It is truly beginning to look a lot like Christmas after Harrow’s annual Christmas party was held in Harrow Town Centre last week (November 30).

Around 92,859 people came to St Anns Road and the Town Centre, where shoppers could take time to enjoy the musical acts taking place.

The memorable storm troopers from the 2016 Britain’s Got Talent, Boogie Storm, came out to the party to give a performance.

Boogie Storm, from Britain's Got Talent, were at the event.

Lee Seddon, the owner of Boogie Storm, added: “Since being on Britain’s Got Talent and America’s Got Talent, we have toured all over the world.

“When I was booked to perform at Harrow, I was particularly excited as I love working with small towns as you feel the warmth of the community and we definitely experienced this, so thank you to everyone who came to see us.”

A stage was placed on St Anns Road with acts such as Norbury Primary School choir, singers, other choirs, a Kidology dance show, Bollywood dancers from the KSparks group and a Pantomime show from Harrow Arts Centre.

Santa's Grotto was a popular spot for free gifts.

Louise Baxter, the Harrow BID manager, said: “It’s always a pleasure to see all the smiling face when we put on such a large-scale event for the community, which is paid for by the businesses.

“The Galaxy Marquee that had Star Wars characters inside for photo opportunities was well received by both children and adults. I hope that all the people who can find this time of year challenging enjoyed themselves and we gave them a positive experience.”

Near the end of the day at 5pm, Christmas lights switched on at 5pm which was followed by a spectacular fireworks display.

Over 500 kids visited the Santa’s Grotto and received free gifts from Santa himself. The grotto will also be open on Sunday (December 8) and just before Christmas on December 21.
