Three students have helped raise a thousands pounds for a charity which supports vulnerable people all around the world.

Tabitha Penn, Emily Einhorn, and Annabel Goldstone, all year 10 pupils at Haberdashers' Aske's School for Girls in Elstree, helped take over the Reel cinema in Borehamwood for a special screening.

Friends and families were invited to watch Frozen 2 - with all proceeds going to Borehamwood-based Goods for Good.

In total, £1,000 was raised.

Tabitha spent some time with Goods for Good in the summer and on December 15, she was joined by Emily and Annabel to provide further support for the charity.

Goods for Good founder, Rosalind Bluestone, said: "We love empowering children and students to get involved.

"In general, children in the UK and Europe have so much. They are lucky that they don’t need to worry about where their next pair of shoes or warm coat is coming from. #

"The girls really related to this and felt passionately about helping families and children in-need of everyday basic essentials. They collected clothing from family and friends and helped sort and pack up those goods ready for despatch.

"They realised that this operation costs money and wanted to help us. The girls brought great energy and young entrepreneurship to our charity. They really enjoyed the experience and I know they will continue to help us."

Goods for Good was set up in 2014. The charity sends overstocked goods to refugees and vulnerable communities all around the world.

To date, the charity has delivered over £19 million-worth of goods globally.
