A driver fled from a petrol station without paying for fuel on three Fridays in a row.
Hertfordshire Constabulary said the incidents took place in December 2019 at the Little Waitrose Petrol Station in St Albans Road.
A silver transit van was used on one occasion and a white transit van used twice.
The incidents took place on Friday December 5, 12 and 20.
Police investigating the bilking offences have released CCTV images of a man they want to identify as they believe he could assist with their enquires.

He is described as white, in his 60s with a short grey hair and black rimmed glasses.
Police say he was in the location at the time of the offences.
