THE directors of a Bournemouth children's breakfast and afterschool club said they took "immediate action" to address issues raised by inspectors.
As reported, 115 Club St Luke's was issued with a welfare requirements notice to rectify problems following an Ofsted inspection before Christmas.
The club, which is operated by an independent business at St Luke's Infants School in Maxwell Road, had until yesterday to address the issues raised.
A statement given by the directors of 115 Club said: "At 115 club the welfare and happiness of the children we look after is at the centre of what we do.
"We are always grateful for the continued support of our families who remain very happy with the care we provide.
"We were therefore very disappointed to have not met some of the welfare requirements when we recently had an Ofsted inspection just before the Christmas holidays.
"We took immediate action to rectify the four points raised by the inspector. These were to do with our documentation and our recording system and our level of supervision."
Inspectors are likely to revisit the club soon to assess if the problems have been resolved.
"We believe that the actions we have taken will ensure that on their next visit within the next two weeks Ofsted will find that we meet all the requirements," added the 115 Club statement.
"As an organisation we are constantly trying to improve the quality of our provision.
"We will learn from this very disappointing experience and apply that knowledge to make an even more safe, secure and happy environment."
