Police swarmed a road overnight following reports of a gunshot being fired.
Metropolitan Police say they were called to the incident in Mollison Way, Edgware at 9.55pm on Tuesday, February 3.
A witness wrote on Facebook they had heard a “very loud sound, like a gunshot”.
People have also said a helicopter was circling over the area following the incident.
Police say there are no reports of any injuries.
No arrests have been made and enquiries are continuing.
A Met Police spokesperson said: "Police were called at approximately 21:55hrs on Monday, 3 February to reports of a firearm discharge in Mollison Way, Edgware.
"No reports of any injuries.
"Officers from Trident investigate."
