The four final members of an Epping Forest county lines drug gang have been jailed for a combined 30 years.

Kaleem Khan, 28; Mateen Khan, 25; Zia Rehmen, 26; and Jordan Worrie, 19, were jailed earlier this month for peddling drugs across the Epping Forest district.

In total, 25 members of the drug gang network have now been sentenced for a combined 57 years.

The gang was selling drugs in Debden, Loughton, Buckhurst Hill, Chigwell, Limes Farm, Hainault, Wales, Cheshire and Norfolk, the court heard.

Essex Police launched an investigation in May last year targeting the gang, believed to be involved in the supply of Class A drugs valued at £3,000 per day.

The six-month operation – supported by Epping Forest District Council, who provided £5,000 towards the cost – culminated in November last year with the execution of 19 warrants and the arrest of 24 people.

Officers seized £30,000 worth of high purity cocaine as well as crack and heroin and more than £83,000 in cash.

They also discovered and dismantled cannabis farms in Harlow and recovered a haul of the Class B drug worth up to £500,000.

At Chelmsford Crown Court on Tuesday, February 11 Kaleem Khan, 28, of Manford Way, Chigwell who was jailed for 12 years.

Mateen Khan, 25 of Manford Way, Chigwell was jailed for eight years and Zia Rehmen, 26 of Barley Lane, Ilford was jailed for eight years.

Jordan Worrie, 19, of New North Road, Ilford was jailed for 18-months.

Chief Insp Lewis Basford, district commander for Brentwood and Epping Forest District, said: “Essex Police has continued to take the fight to gangs and individuals who mistakenly think they can sell drugs on the streets of our county – they can’t.

“As long as people continue to attempt to sell drugs in our county we will continue to hunt them down and bring them to justice and, if that takes days or, as in this case, an operation that runs for months, we will leave no stone unturned in our pursuit of them.

“I would like to reassure the residents of Epping Forest District that where we receive information that criminals, gangs or drug dealers are active in their area we will, as today shows, act on that.”
