"We are following the latest Government advice and guidance released yesterday, as well as encouraging all our pupils, staff, wider school community to follow the general advice on hand washing and hygiene as usual.

“As a precaution, we have closed one of our schools, Waltham Holy Cross, for one day, as a member of staff has returned from an area of concern in northern Italy.

"Having consulted with Public Health England, the risk at our school has been identified as low for pupils and staff. But it is only right that we take this seriously."
