With most children being unable to go to school and stuck at home, we thought we would give them the opportunity to get their creative juices flowing.

We’re encouraging children of all ages to send us drawings and stories of no more than 150 words on their favourite thing they have done or seen this week.

Whether you have enjoyed a fun activity in the garden, travelled to new places through the magic of your favourite book, or spent time in the kitchen baking homemade cakes, we want to hear about how you’ve been enjoying your free time.

Entries will be featured both online and in the paper, with one winning story chosen by our content editor Kelly Pells, who has had short stories published in various writing magazines.
