A teenager has been charged after a pigs head was found on a police officers car in Hackbridge yesterday.

Police were called to reports of a severed pigs head on a woman police officers windscreen at around 6.10 am, yesterday (April 2).

Tye Farrar, 19, of Cheam, was charged with a public order offence over the incident and has been accused of intentionally causing harassment, alarm or distress.

A spokesman for the British Transport Police said: "We are aware of a Metropolitan Police investigation into an incident in Hackbridge yesterday morning.

"A 19-year-old man has now been charged with a public order offence.

"We will be supporting the victim throughout, and will be offering any assistance as would be usual in such a case."

The suspect has been granted bail and is due to appear at Croydon Magistrates' Court on April 30.
